ILEA - Industrie Luxembourgeoise des Equipementiers de l'Automobile

Founded in 2002, the Luxembourg Automotive Suppliers Association – ILEA provides a strategic forum for automotive suppliers by addressing issues of common concern; serving as a source of information and providing an industry voice on topics of interest. ILEA is hosted by FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg’s Industry and focuses on the interests of Luxembourg companies active in the automotive sector and provides them with a common body of communication. ILEA is a platform for sharing experience and information among its members. Its aim is to promote the relations between the various suppliers as well as towards car manufacturers. ILEA is a member of CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers) www.clepa.eu.

ILEA members generate a total sales turnover of more than 1.5 billion EUR per year and export their products and services all over the world. Major export countries are: Germany, France, Italy, UK, Japan, Spain, USA, China, Sweden.

The automotive suppliers in Luxembourg employ approximately 9,000 people. Many companies, such as BorgWarner, CEBI, Goodyear, IEE and Webasto have major R&D centres in Luxembourg. These technical centres employ approximately 1.950 people.

Member companies are suppliers in the value chain of components, modules, systems, materials and equipment developed for the original equipment automotive industry.

ILEA is the initiator of the Luxembourg Automobility Cluster launched in 2014 and hosted by Luxinnovation.
